Impact on entitlement
values from the abolition of the forfeited pool and non-merger of entitlement
pools

Despite rumors late last year that the Government was
going to release entitlements back into Hotels from the forfeited pool to
lessors or by sale to hoteliers in general, the reduction in the overall number
of machines has come about by the abolition of the entitlements in the forfeited
pool.
Add this to the decision not to allow entitlements to be merged between the
Hotel and Club pools in order to ensure that the price of entitlements for the
Club sector is capped and this will only lead to the increase in the value of
entitlement values over this coming year.
It would be expected to see batches of entitlements sell country to city for in
excess of $450,000 plus GST and single country entitlements hit the $200,000
plus GST mark.
