Total Licensed Floor Space is becoming important for
purchasers.

This year the issue of being able to add to a venues total
licensed area is becoming a major issue for purchasers particularly if they
wanted to add an outdoor area.
Identification whether the entire hotel site or just the buildings are licensed
is important in terms of adding extra licensed external areas has become an
important issue particularly due to the recent restrictions in additional
licensed floor area being capped to no more than 10% of the existing floor
space.
Research into venue premises files often clears up confusion that an entire site
is licensed including all grounds and car parks during standard trading hours
which are 5am to Midnight, Monday to Saturday and 10am to 10pm on Sunday, whilst
the buildings maybe licensed for approved extended trading hours under Section
25 of the Liquor Act 1982.
