Placement of Hotel Property & Businesses February 2007 Over the past couple of years, in a sellers market, vendors have taken the position that if they were interested in selling their Hotel they would prefer to place the sale with a party off an agents buyers list instead of listing it openly for sale. There are positive and negatives to this approach depending on your role in the transaction. In terms of the vendor, it keeps the operation of the Hotel during a sale process a lot smoother and less disruptive. It places a great importance on the agent of your choice, as not everything that comes onto the market will suit all the major institutions or group ownership, they (being these buyers) may say that it does, but more often than not the hotel just becomes the centre of industry gossip. At JTW we have a broad range of purchasers, that may suit the wide range of Hotels that area available for sale at any time, as certain types of venues suit only a specific type of buyer.
