"Don't be blinded by smoke and mirrors in regards to price expectations"

source: JTW spring bulletin

Spring 2006

Despite some glossy marketing material by global real estate agencies who consider themselves as experts in the hotel industry, the market has firmed dramatically over the past two months, with a number of larger institutional and group buyers adding between 1% and 2% to the yields they are prepared to pay for hotels.

Do not sell yourself short by believing the "glossy bulldust" if it is the only thing standing in the way of you accepting a "excellent offer" instead of an "extra-ordinary expectations" because as you wait for the extra-ordinary the promoters of the extra-ordinary may also dissipate along with your excellent offer, with the only loser being your pocket.
